Der Schwierigkeitsgrad von Super Monaco GP ist zwar variabel, insgesamt aber doch recht hoch angesetzt, so daß langer Spielspaß garantiert ist, der bei weniger geschickten Spielern aber sicherlich auch in Frust umschlagen kann. Wer ein rassiges Rennspielchen sucht und ein Mega Drive besitzt, der ist mit diesem Programm bestens bedient.

Gegenüber dem Automatenvorbild lid Segas Super Monaco GP zwar einiges an spektakulärer 3D-Grafik verloren, dafür packten die Entwickler eine komplette Formel-1-Weltmeisterschaft in das Modul. Mit einem Automatikgetriebe ist der Einstieg in den Rennzirkus schnell gefunden; echte Männer fahren natürlich nur mit tückischem Schaltgetriebe. Trotz hübscher Hintergründe und flammender Turbofeuer präsentiert sich das Spiel grafisch und akustisch eher unauffällig. Then lag es auch nicht an der Aufmachung, daß ich nächtelang vor dem Bildschirm klebte. Es ist mir jedoch selten ein then extrem spielbares Programm unter dice Finger gekommen. Auf "Easy" kamen bei Super Monaco schon nach wenigen Minuten erste Suchtgefühle, auf "hard" kämpfte ich noch tagelang um eine gute Platzierung. Fair ist auch, daß dice leicht zu handhabenden Automatikrenner wesentlich weniger Kraft unter der Haube haben als dice tückischen Wagen mit Handschaltung. Super Monaco GP, von führenden Bleifüßen empfohlen.

Grâce à une jouabilité bien mieux pensée que sur eight bits et à un championnat particulièrement bien pensé, les joueurs trouveront enfin matière à découvrir united nations véritable jeu de course capable de les tenir en haleine des heures. Dommage que le mode deux joueurs ait disparu et que la réalisation soit à mille lieues de celle de la borne, néanmoins.

Unproblematic controls and instant appeal make this a game you can dive straight into. However, one race is all you demand to see that this is naught special. The graphics are well translated from the original, though the huge roadside objects are conspicuous in their absenteeism. Overlaid text and information windows in the principal playing area clutter the display. Sound is below par for a Megadrive, with a few sparse FX and some fuzzy sampled spoken communication.
